MAias has created and managed many music groups, festivals, events, and all kinds of music activities. 

In 2006 Maias established a flexible music group "MAqam Ensemble" in Vienna, specializing in Arabic classical music; since the inception, the ensemble had enjoyed tremendous success in Europe and the Middle-east including Konzerthause in Berlin, Morgenland festival in Osnabrück, ORF & Musikverein in Vienna, The United Nations in Vienna and New York City, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow, MISA Festival in Shanghai, Expo 17 & 20 in Astana and Dubai

 Overseen by Winton Marsalis and collaborating with Dominick Farinacci, MAias has curated "Arabic Nights at Jazz at Lincoln Centre Doha” in 2014 - 16 presenting Arabic music fusions to new audiences. 

In 2017 MAias established MAjazz Band, specializing in Arabic Jazz/ World Music. MAjazz performed in top venues such as Glocken in Bremen, Porgy & Bess in Vienna, and European Jazz Festival in Doha. 
 

Maias Alyamani and Yahia Tello formed Electro MAqam in 2021 to connect Arabic music with electronic music. The band is passionate about bringing their two cultures together through music, and their first album is set to be released in late 2023.

Maias Alyamani has created and collaborated on many shows with the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, including the family musical theater productions "Nour, A Girl from the Desert" and "Nour, Ann, and the Wise Fools." He has also played an important role in connecting the Qatar Philharmonic with Qatar's top artists, such as Dana Alfardan, Fahd Alkubaisi, Nasser Sahim, Issa Alkubaisi, Mansour Almuhanadi, and Ali Almuri.


Maias has been appointed as artistic curator with the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra at Amiri Diwan since 2014.
